How to Create a Brand the World Will Love

How to Create a Brand the World Will Love

Going straight to the point, we have developed a super advanced technological model for developing a business and brand ANYONE will love. After analyzing thousands, no, millions of businesses that kickass world wide, interviewing their founders and directors, we have co-created a simple process that will blow your mind and change the way you brand the world.

BOOM! Calm down that mind. We know this is an inflection point in your life. We will develop a full post explaining this complex model because this is just the first module.

BOOM! Calm down that mind. We know this is an inflection point in your life. We will develop a full post explaining this complex model because this is just the first module.

After this epiphany: Hands to Work

My whole concept of branding and how to create a brand changed after seeing this talk Ted ...

How great leaders inspire action - Simon Sinek

It is by far one of the most popular global Ted talks. The kicks ass compadre with his mayor marketing class. He says great things such as this:

"People don't buy what you do ... People buy why you do it!"

"Working hard for something you are not interested in is called Stress, working hard for something you love is called Passion"

"Life gets better when we realize we do not have to know everything and that we need not have to pretend to know "

"There is a difference between listening and waiting for your turn to speak"

If you had Marketing or Branding classes. Forget everything you learned because it is probably crap and may lead you to create a square market doing what everybody else does. It will lead you no nowhere, just where all the other boring marketers are.

There is this guy in the academic world called "Kotler". Damn man, if somebody starts talking about this guy... Runaway!!

Going back tho Simon Sinek's AMAZING idea

And note special details you see now . That 's all part of Why! Inside out. All communication and brand building must be moved around that .

Simon Sinek is unoriginal and takes Apple as an example ... Everyone talks about Apple. As we are original people and for not keeping on prosituting Apple for it's own safety, we will talk about Green Glass. Let's see what Green Glass ® is doing - A brand that creates drinking glasses from glass bottles of the streets.

And since then we started being more and more famous, and people started loving us. See? Ain't that difficult. It's not about your product and your brand. It's always about the people.

And since then we started being more and more famous, and people started loving us. See? Ain't that difficult. It's not about your product and your brand. It's always about the people.

The process of Creating a Brand

The Why?

  1. Find and Fight for something Authentic, Meaningful and Bigger than yourself.
  2. Something that involves lots of humans, animals, and beings
  3. Could be a Problem, Cause or a Crazy Idea

This is how you define your and your purpose. The reason you exist, Your mission, Crazy dream, Nirvana! The heart of your company is far more important than the product itself. This is why "People will follow"

The How?

Simply describe how you plan to achieve the why, the purpose, how you are different, special, awesome, unique and sexy. Explain your flow and know your mojo, Style and the way you want to do things

The What?

What is your Product/Service and what do you want people to buy?

Before and After: The Green Glass example

What common people normally do is...

What: Hi we are Green Glass the most coolest artisans in bottle, we cut bottles and make drinking glasses from them

How: By saving bottles from trash and paying a fair price to trash collectors

Why: Because we want to save this world from Garbage

Common, average, nobody cares... People should be sleeping after the second sentence...

What I've learned after examining my favorite brands and applying this to Green Glass

Why: We want to save this world full of garbage and demonstrate glass it's not garbage

How: By recognizing the value of trash collectors, saving millions of bottles from the streets, teaching people to recycle and stop buying shit

What: Creating the most amazing drinking glasses, UNTIL EACH GLASS OF THE WORLD IS A GREEN GLASS!

This gives people a story to read and a reason to follow, it invites you to become part of a change, it warns you about an issue, it's unique, and is expressed in short sentences. Believe me - short and sweet and powerful.

This is why we have been featured on Mainstream media,  Live TV, Reports, Newspapers, Magazines, Radio and Even in the Magazine of the Largest Airline in L.A

This article in LATAM expresses our story clearly "Demonstrating Glass is not garbage through trash collectors, until each glass of the world is a Green Glass.

This article in LATAM expresses our story clearly "Demonstrating Glass is not garbage through trash collectors, until each glass of the world is a Green Glass.

It all start with Why. Find that big purpose, build a product around it and the People will Follow :)

Next... some of you may have noticed that I had written that it's all about Having sex with your clients. How do we do that?? Are we proistitutes? it´s much better than that for money making ; )

How to get Thousands of Real Instagram Followers

How to get Thousands of Real Instagram Followers

No beating around the bush, this post is super raw and result oriented. Use the following tools to get automatically thousands of targeted instagram followers. Use the tool with wisdom, caution and respect or your account could be banned. Seriously. Here is a little video that shows you how to use it:

There is extra kickass information about great apps and websites to use in the post bellow!

  • How to gain the same followers as your competitors
  • How to advertise to your niche market
  • Automating Instagram to gain followers the same day
  • How to make your posts perform better

Some of these techniques and programs violate Instagram's Terms of Use

This means that using these tools and practices run the risk of closing your account. So use them wisely!

Lets Start

Adding followers on any social network is one thing, connecting with fans in a niche way that are more likely to buy your products is another story!

Originally our @GreenGlassChile account had only 2,500 followers after one year of hard work with an average of 30 Likes per photo. Now each month on autopilot (after around 1 year of using Instagress), we gain around 2000 followers each month and now we get an average of over 400 likes a post! We have nearly 30000 followers and our interaction with other relevant and target users converts into sales.

First of all, it must be clear which followers you are going to focus on because you do not want to waste time trying to get people who do not care, or simply do not buy what you sell.

First and foremost, you must have a laser focus targeted type of followers in mind so you must know or research your competition and inspirational goals! Don't lose time trying to get irrelevant followers. Ask yourself questions about the kind of followers you want to reach.

  • What do they Like/Dislike?
  • Where are they located?
  • What accounts do they follow?
  • Any particular hashtags they use?

Boom! These guys are your prey.

Say you have a local vegeterian restaurant and you have a clear idea of what hippie-super-hipster veggie kind of guys fancy your restaurant. Now just write down a list of accounts in Instagram that this hippie fancy group follow. Make a list of 10 instagram accounts - the more local and targeted the better. Search for other popular nearby restaurants, search for universities, bloggers, brands and who ever you may think your clients may follow on Instagram. Ideally search for accounts with more than 5.000 followers.

For example @SimpleyVano, a young vegan blogger with 16.000 followers is a great guy to add to the list.

Your competitors have done the hard work, let them keep doing the hard part! Now is when we can take advantage of their strength, and just go picking their loyal fans, to show them something better to look at ... your business! The probability of these people follow and follow you back is potentially high, especially if you are related and have researched your audience well.

But ... how theft and followers?

What we are going to do is simple, we are going to "flirt with our customers" and tell all of them how cool they are! Because you really think they are cool and they deserve something awesome such as your product.

You can flirt with them like this until they finally have sex with you (buy your product)!!

  • Follow them on Instagram
  • Like their photos ;) and... like a lot of their photos!
  • Comment on their pictures like a friend would

Rinse and repeat for thousands of new followers!

Ok, ok… I know you must be thinking at this point, "Ohhh stoopid Oscar I have been doing that for ages and it works but it takes me loads of time!" My friend, I know that feeling... and this is when I tell you how to become a Ninja Instagramer! Let me introduce you to...

This software is the Sh&t! It will let you follow, like and comment automatically to a pool of accounts filtered by people they follow, their locations an hashtags! The thing is called: Instagress – and you can try it for free for 3 days.

The basic package for U$9 a month and that will be enough time to show you that the thing works if you set it up the correct way - Something that may take around 10 minutes if you have done your homework!

Here you can put "Follow the followers of the 10 instagram accounts I've already though about" and the machine will do the hard work for you while you watch followers and likes flood in to your newly popular account.

Watch our video for a super thorough kickass explanation of Instagress - you won't regret.

There is not much more to explain. Instagress explains by itself. Now let me get my culinary microwave heated cheese Burrito while I watch turkish soap operas with all the new hours of fresh time Instagress is delivering me.

- Make sure that the first couple of days you start Instagress in "Slow Speed", after that you can move to fast so that your activity looks natural.

- Create neutral comments that can be applied to all images - you can't really go wrong with Emojis, so fill up your automated comments with a few!!

- If you are afraid of losing your main account, you can create a “Burn Account”, and try to see how it goes.

- Once you connect Instagress your account password might be changed by Instagram. Don't lose faith and move on..

- You can try Crowdfire if you want to go manual, which also works, but is 10x faster with though crowdfire than Instagram.. Also doable for Twitter. It also allows you to send a message to every new twitter follower :)

Just for "Social Proof". Everybody wants to be followed by a "Popular" account. So if yours does not look popular here you can buy between 1.000-2.000 (fake) followers for US$10 to start things off for you. Not bad eh?

Fiverr – Just look out for "Instagram followers" and lots of gigs will appear.

SETTING UP AUTO MESSAGES – Is an amazing app for sending Auto Instagram Direct Messages to all your Followers or the new ones. They've got a Free version which sends less messages a day and with the sucky "Sent via @holrdotco. But still works Amazing. Our instagram account @HaciendolJuntos actually says this "Hey @Username what's up! We are having a beer this friday with other cool antrepreneurs and talk about ecommerce, wanna join :)? Whatsapp us +56962358189" Or our amazing @GreenGlassChile  "Hi sexy @Username, wanna come for lemonade to our store in Julia Berstein 1944? If it's too far, you can use this discount code "BKN" on our website for your first purchase:)!"

Oh Oh oh... I think the #HaciendolaLovers will crash Instagram ;)

Its frustrating having to be posting the same content on different social networks. Forget about that and automate all the posts from instagram to be linked as a native post on twitter and/or facebook with:

IFTTT (If This Then That)

The following strategies meet Instagram policies and practices are good.

Hashtags are always used to win new followers

Use hashtags, and in particular hashtags pointing straight to your niche is a good way to connect with the right people.

How to know that hashtag to use?

We must make some Keyword Research (Research keywords or hashtags keywords) to our brand. Use Websta to find this info out for a good start!

TIP: You can use up to 30 hashtags by post. A good tip is to write different collections of hashtags in your notes, so before you post you can simply copy and past the hashtags instead of trying to remember them all and write them out!

Usw the correct filters

A study of  TrackMaven   shows the filters that have more interaction are Mayfair, no filter and Inkwell.

How to create kickass packaging

How to create kickass packaging

So I ain't any professional designer. And you know what? That doesn't even matter!

I declare myself a packaging addict and life made me a product designer. And I must admit that I enjoy it as hell, I can feel it burning when it comes to packaging. It turns me on!

Ok. so... It's not just about wrapping the product so it doesn't break. It's more like sneeking into your customers life in a stylish way. It's more like the way of saying "Hi, this is our brand, wanna have sex forever?" In a more polite way of course. That's what good business are made of.

"You never toss a good packaging"

Creating a beatiful packaging essentials

We have to get you creative, turned on and in "packaging creating mode". Imagine you are Voldemort from Harry Potter. And imagine you wanna live forever so you can fulfill you dream of "Taking over the World!", what do you do!?

Answer: You create an Horocrux

Never watched Harry Potter? Well to put it short, the Harry Potter Wikipedia says "A Horcrux is a powerful object in which a Dark Wizard or Witch has hidden a fragment of his or her soul for the purpose of attaining immortality". Sounds pretty cool right?

"Packaging is the extension of the soul of your brand"

Ok so I just wanted so bad to talk about Horcrux... Been said that. Let's get more serious.

Yeaaaaaahhhh!!!! Packaging Time!! Let's make some Horcruxes!

Yeaaaaaahhhh!!!! Packaging Time!! Let's make some Horcruxes!

Beyond Packaging: An Unboxing Experience

It's all about being memorable, it's all about surprising and get your customers so turned on that they MUST shout out at the world how cool is your product/brand and how it's making a significant impact on their lifes (Yes, I personally take it that serious).

Elements you should totally consider when creating this experience:

  • Materiality - The essence of your unboxing experience. There is touch and feel involved, each material will summon different experiences on each person. You can get far creative in here. You don't have to be obvious, why not experimenting creating a package with Carboard, Papers, Glass, Cork, Plastic, Wood, Food?
  • The Shape - Good packagings stand out, they can be classy or more original. Shape is always a matter to take into account and personalization now a days is key. You can't look the same as others. The key here is the DIE or THE MOLD. This thing looks like this.
Machines will press this razors through the materials like cardboard or paper so you get the shape of what you want!

  • Eco-Friendliness - I get really serious in here. Our society is based in tossing everything, almost all of the packaging end up in landfills. Consider on making 100% recyclable and recycled based packaging,, DO NOT USE materials that cannot be recycled (Like some kinds of plastics). Please ALWAYS choose certified materials. For example in Cardboard you have FSC, PEFC and others that certify the source of the materials was managed in a sustainable way.

  • Functionality - You want to have an All Star packaging which will perform good on Styling, Carrrying, Protection, Cost Efectiveness, Stackability, etc... Some times you will have to decide one feature over the other.
  • The "WOW" Moment - Every good packaging experience has that special big moment when something all of the sudden pop ups and blows the mind of the customer. Usually its when you do the big opening of the box, and there you release the beast! And of course, you give a general taste to the non clients with a nice visual aspect on the outside, but the Wow is for the heroes that become your customers. They disserve it!

Pimping up your Unboxing Experience - Add ons

Prepare for this checklist, all of these elements are there for you to explore, consider them all in your creation process! I really suggest taking them into account. I hope we can turn you on now!

Discount Codes - Is it just be the one who believes a customer should be treated and venerated like a god? In a business, the motor of everything is the customer. Those brave guys that took a change on you disserve the best. First step to loyalty and having sex forever (Your clients with your brand) is giving away a Discount!

Thank You Card - As I always tell everybody. We at Green Glass would be nobody without our clients. You gotta PRAISE the client. Be humble, Be cool and Be GRATEFUL. There is no nicer thing than opening a gift and BOOM! A big "Thanks, you rock our world" or something like that. Client will feel "Oh... I did good today, fuck I feel awesome, damn I should buy more,  Oh yes! Im gonna tell the world about this brand!" and damn thats how you want them to feel! Never forget to say thanks. Don't be a rude bitch.

A Nice Seal - This can be used for pimping purpose. Just a little stripe of paper or something you need to break to get to the product. These creates a nice sense of "Virginity" or the sensation that the item is brand new and has never been touched. Is like you having sex for the first time (Im sorry guys but the world is so sexual and it's easier to explain this way)

A sweet surprise? - Well why not!? What if you hide some pieces of you favourite candy inside your packaging. Wouldn't that be playful, cute and out of this world? Remember being human in first place. Everybody loves being treated well. Just treat your clients amazingly well, you will earn gigantic karmic points, and the world will complain to make your brand succsesful.

Some funny funky instructions - As we saw before in Chubbies Shorts example, they included some damn funny instruction manual that says like this:

1. Try your short and make 20 squads.

2. Go out to the streets and just walk around for 5 minutes.

3. Write down the cellphone of all the girls following you now.

4. Go inside and make 20 more squads.

5. Open a beer and let the Weekend BEGIN!

Cool Freebies Related to your brand - So here you can really get creative :)! Say you sell Beer... A beer opener, ta dah! Say you sell drinking glasses... Some coasters! Dang! Sell you say (already drunk) some whatever!? Well then add some cool bracelets, condoms, matches, recipes, post-its, magnets, Sky is the limit!

Referral program - Make it easy for them to share your experience. In Fact, reward them for telling the world how awesome your brand is, you can have referral programs for your clients so they bring their friends or new clients. Discounts, Freebies and Credit to spend are always welcome. There are various apps for this. We recommend Talkable.

Tag your purchase - Admit we are all in seek for that sweet "Oh my gosh! Somebody tagged me!" Moment. And when the client takes the time to take one really nice picture, pose with a funny sexy face to praise your product. Ahhh... Those days are when the beer is colder and tastes better.

tag instagram

Stickers - Yes, yes oh yes. Have you ever seen a Roxy Sticker on a car? If you are in Chile, chances are that your are blind if you have not. The power of Stickers is Astonishing. Almost like a tattoo, a self sticking device to identify your personality and uniqueness with a brand and their values, or simply like this wrist bands when you go into hipster festivals... Just a thing to stand out and tell the world "Hey Im cool because I was here or I know this brand". Gosh! Im running out to the store to get some stickers for Green Glass! Let your fans paste them on their cars, Pc's, Cases and who else knows where. Let em' play ;)

Invitation Cards - If you have a store, let your packaging invite clients to them. In case of Green Glass "Bring your packaging to your nearest Green Glass Store to reclaim your special glass" Ain't that a sweeeeeeet invitations? Plus we offer them Lemonade and Cookies. #PraiseTheClient #LoveTheClient

Hey guys, that's all, post down your favorite packagings in the world and start a conversation.

Lightroom for Beginners

Lightroom for Beginners

Lightroom, some of you may have heard of it, some of you not. Once you get past the "Importing" and "Exporting" you will find that it is some of the best software for editing and organizing images! Unlike the maze of Photoshop, Lightroom can make your images look PRO super quickly, no matter what level of photographer you are!

Even if you aren't a photographer but have thought "hmm I would like to crop this image or brighten it up a bit", this is the software for you! This is software for everyone.

TIPS! Before you get started..

  • If you ever do something that you don't know how to reverse, pressing ctrl+z will undo to the previous the step. Keep on repeating this action until you revert to the place you want to be at!
  • Lightroom automatically saves everything when you are working and never over an original image
  • You can undo anything you don't like easilly at any stage

And Maybe Most Importantly...

  • Once you have Imported your images into Lightroom, do not move the folders location on your MAC or PC! Lightroom works from virtual images, if you move the source the images will disconnect from the Lightroom files and you will need to find and attach them again! (It can be a frustrating process) The best way to move a folders location, once images are imported, is through Lightroom itself.

1. Make sure that your images are in a folder on your computer/external hard drive, and that you are not going to be importing directly from a camera card!

2. Import Photographs Into Lightroom

File > Import Photos and Video... Select the folder and images you would like to import from the menu on the right :)

  • Make sure you have selected to just "Add" the images to Lightroom and not "Copy" or "Move" from the options in the middle of the menu.
  • Make sure you are adding the images to the Catalog, the pictures should automatically go there once you click "Add" only!

and then click import!

TIP! It's good practice to import all of your photographs, even the bad ones! As it's much easier to go through them all in Lightroom

3. Start Selecting Your Favourites

Now that you've imported your images you can start going through them and deciding which ones to keep. The best way of doing this is by firstly "Rating" them using stars.

  • Simply click number 1 - 5 on your keyboard to add a star rating to your pictures!
  • I always start on number 1, and slowly as I go over the images 2 or 3 times more as I rate them higher and higher until I have got a strong selection.

After you have gone through all the images you want to you can see your selection by changing the "Filter" option on the bottom right corner. Select "Rated" and then click on 1 star or higher to filter through your images more or less.

4. Zoom Zoom Zoom

If you want to zoom in to a picture click on the image or press the space bar! Good for quickly checking if the image is in focus or not :)

You can adjust how much Lightroom zooms into the picture by clicking on this arrows drop-down menu and playing with the ratios.

5. Start Developing your Image

Click on "Develop" found on the top right above the image. You will see the Histogram which is not important at this stage, so just hide it by clicking on the little arrow!

6. Start Editing Your Picture!

Use the Basic tools on this bar to start editing your image! The way I always edit is always along the lines of:

  • Adjust exposure, usually a little brighter like +0.12/+0.22
  • Add a tiny bit of Contrast +0.14 (Quite often I add none at all). Be careful, you don't want to make your photograph look sweaty, with too much contrast your photograph can quickly look armature.
  • Bring down the Highlights (you never want your highlights to lose detail, this helps keep everything together)
  • Potentially lift some shadows
  • Add a little black to the blacks. Often I use this tool instead of Contrast.
  • Adding a bit of Clarity +0.20 can give the photograph a great feel too!

TIP! Remember that every photograph is different. You cannot just follow instructions but use your eyes in this visual world and see what looks best! Compare your retouching with photographs that inspire you.

7. Crop and Straighten your Photograph

A fairly self-explanatory tool!

  • Click on the lock symbol to release the Crops Aspect Ratio
  • or look through pre-set Aspect Ratios by scrolling through the drop down Menu by clicking on "Original"
  • Click inside the shadow area of the image outside of the cropping zone to angle your image differently
  • Drag the Cropping tools borders to change the size and shape of your cropping area!

Click Enter when you are done or right click and "reset crop" if you wish.

8. Compare your Before and After

Toggle through your options by clicking on the number 1 Icon in the bottom left corner to compare images side by side or one by one.

Now you are ready to Export your Final Images! Or...

Retouching Part II

If you really want to move your way around Lightroom, learn how to use these super simple tools too!

9. The Gradient Tool

This amazing tool can quickly help to brighten or darken half of an image, change colour, tone, saturation, detail, clarity etc.. or adjust the image edges.

I mostly use this tool to initially balance out lighting:

  • If half of the image needs a little lifting in the shadows
  • If I want to create a vignette effect around the edges of the image

Simple add the gradient by dragging the gradient tool with a mouse from the outer edges of an image, play around with it's size, angle, and intensity to get what you are after! If you don't like the gradient, simply click backspace while the gradient you don't like is selected.

10. The Brush Tool

This tool is similar to the Gradient Tool, but more precise! As it is in a brush form, you can paint and change details anywhere - from creating vignette edges to starting to contour the face. However, as much as I try to do as much as I can in Lightroom, it is certainly not as controllable and precise as Photoshop.

I use this tool as much as I can to even out my image from any distracting shadow or highlight areas as well as occasionally desaturating areas that are too saturated!

Here is an example how you can use the Brush tool more precisely, I used the tool to brighten up unflattering shadows on the face:

Tip! Whenever you want to change the brush size in Lightroom or Photoshop, use the keys "[" and "]" as a shortcut!

11. Heal Tool

  • Adjust your brush size and cover over the area that you would like to fix
  • Move the second ring (That automatically appears) to a clear area that you would like it to sample for the healing
  • Click Enter when you are happy! Or backspace if you are sad (and want to get rid of it) :(

Use the tool as much as you want to clean up your photograph from distracting elements!

Lightroom's Heal tool is quite good, but for fine work and skin retouching Photoshop is much better. Lightroom is just capable of quite basic healing, but it certainly can make a quick difference!

9. Export your images

Highlight all the images you want to export (Either ctrl+a for all, or keep the ctrl key down while selecting images throughout your folder)

  • Go File > Export
  • Choose your image exports location. I normally choose the same folder I imported from and put in a new Subfolder
  • Rename your images quickly, in order (looks totally pro for clients), or keep the original file name.
  • Choose your file format, most likely JPEG, export at the optimum quality. Colour space as sRGB unless you know your profiles!
  • You can batch resize your images here too

- For generous WEB images a long edge of 1200 pixels and Resolution: 94 is great

- For printing images make sure your resolution is at 300.

  • On top of normal Sharpening I may do, I also like to Sharpen for Screen a Standard amount :)

And that's everything you need to know! Click Export and go to your sneaky little folder and find you wonderfully edited images waiting for you.

A simple edit that enhances the image, and it is now ready to be working on in Photoshop if necessary!

#5AMClub (Waking Up at 5AM)

#5AMClub (Waking Up at 5AM)

"5am club is a way of life. It's a productivity

strategy, and a means to achieve all you

have ever desired." - jeff sanders

4:57 A.M, May 25th 2016 and I wake up to the wind of a tropical storm. I had my alarm set for 5:05am but my body clock had already adjusted for me... Yes, that's right, 5am... and it's a time that I like to get up at too!

If you work as a farmer, or a fisherman, you probably think I'm a little girl. But common people think, "Oski you are crazy! Why would you do that to yourself?"

Every time I get up very early, I do it, and what an achievement it is already. It feels as if I have a spare day to work with. It lets me decide what I do with the day and my business and not vice versa. Every morning is a ritual that should not be disturbed by extra sleep! That is a Miracle Morning!

The #5AMCLUB is all about changing the idea that you have to wake up to your daily tasks on fire, this will allow you more time work on becoming a healthier and more productive person!

Apple CEO Tim Cook and Disney CEO Robert Iger both get up at 4.30am. Former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, used to get up at 4.30am and head straight to the gym, even when she was holding that post. Xerox CEO Ursula Burns wakes up at 5.15am. Prime Minister Narender Modi too, begins his day early. Richard Branson, founder, Virgin Group, is a dedicated believer of the 5am club as is PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi.

The first time I heard about the stupid idea of getting up at 5:00am (stupid Robin Sharma and his # 5AmClub) it seemed too stupid and unrealistic for me to join. Being both stupid and unrealistic, I decided to give it a go...

"5 am to 8 am are hours when one has least interruptions, and the mind is blank and full of potential."

- Robin Sharma

They must become a routine and more than just a routine, it must become your ritual and your lifestyle!

Robin Sharma suggested that we should devote one hour each morning to a 20-20-20 breakdown where you spend 20 minutes exercising, 20 minutes working on goals and dreams, and 20 minutes learning something. He also suggested that 20 minutes of meditation would be very benificial too.

These are some of the things that we do in our #5amclub mornings:

  • Go for a run! It will make you healthier and fit, make your brain work harder, give you energy for the day, and wake you up with all the fresh air running into your lungs and hot blood pumping through your body.
  •  Finish your showers cold. It will shock your body, wake you up extra, and make your feel super fresh! You can't move like a slug after you jump so fast out of the shower!
  • Make some freshly squeezed juice or a smoothie. If going for a run and having a cold shower don't wake you up, drink a glass of  freshly squeezed pomegranate or grapefruit juice, the acidity will surely stop you from dreaming and freshen up your insides with the super healthy goodness. Green apples and cucumber are super fresh, or otherwise just chuck in any fruit with a bit of water and blend yourself a delicious drink because hey your body is A W E S O M E and you are going to do A W E S O M E things today!
  • Eat a breakfast for Kings!!! Have a whole meal, forget about that pussy cup of coffee and a piece of bread. This is your time to make yourself S T R O N G for the day. I like to eat 4 boiled eggs with rice, or last nights dinner, or some amazing bread with olive oil, avocados, tomatoes, lemon juice and oregano, a big bowl of pasta... Yoghurt and fruit.. oats... make it big and strong!! Your brain is not going to work as well on fried sausages and hash browns.
  • Drink a big glass of cold water. Hydrate that brain!!
  • Write a list of daily goals. You were meant to do it last night but if you didn't it's time to plan your day!
  • Look at the first thing on the list.
  • Now just D O I T!

One morning Gita and I woke up at "5AM" only to see 20 minutes later that the clocks had changed to 4am, and what a great and surprising extra head start to the day it was! Rather than being dissapointed that we could have slept more, we excitedly got on with our plans and later realised that without the 1 extra hour we wouldn't have completed everything that we wanted to before her flight was due.

5am and Santiago is in silence, no one is around, no one is rushing or panicking or distracting. If the gym opened earlier I would have gone earlier, if shops opened earlier and people started working earlier I would already starting going there to get those things done!

Join us 5AMers and feel the amazingness!! Get a head start on your day while all the others sleep :)

50 Ways Ordinary People Reached World-Class

Robin Sharma

A motivational list that we should read and keep in mind often!

  1. Know what you want. Clarity is power. And vague goals promote vague results.
  2. Remember that every problem has a solution. Maybe you just can’t see it. Yet.
  3. In this Age of Dramatic Distraction, the performer who focuses the best wins the most.
  4. Before someone will help you, you need to help them.
  5. Become the most passionate person you know. It’ll be contagious.
  6. Know more about your craft/the work you do than anyone who has ever done the work you do…in the history of the world.
  7. Join The 5 am Club. Your most valuable hours are 5am-8am. They have the least interruptions.
  8. Devote yourself to learning something new about your field of mastery every day. Success belongs to the relentless learners. Because as you know more, you can achieve more.
  9. Remember that when you transform your fitness, you’ll transform your business.
  10. Don’t check your mobile when you’re meeting with another person. It’s rude. And rude people don’t reach world-class.
  11. Every time you do what scares you, you take back the power that you gave to the thing that scared you. And so you become more powerful.
  12. A problem is only a problem if you make the choice to see it as a problem.
  13. Stop being a victim. Your business and personal life was made by you. No one else is responsible. To make it better, make better choices. And new decisions.
  14. You can lead without a title. Don’t wait to get a position to stand for excellence, peak quality and overdelivery on every expectation.
  15. Find your own style. Be an original. Every superstar differentiated themselves from The Herd. And marched to their own drumbeat.
  16. Understand that when you play small with your success, you betray your potential. And the birthright you were born under.
  17. Eat less food and you’ll get more done.
  18. As you become more successful, stay really really hungry. Nothing fails like success. Because when you’re successful, it’s easy to stop outlearning+outOverDelivering+outthinking and outexecuting everyone around you. (Success is Beautiful. And dangerous).
  19. If you’re not overprepared, you’re underprepared.
  20. The only level of great manners to play at is “Exceedingly Polite”. In our world, this alone will make you a standout. And differentiate you in your marketplace.
  21. Remember that the moment you think you’re a Master, you lose your Mastery. And the minute you think you know everything, you know nothing.
  22. To double your results, double your level of execution.
  23. Invest in your personal and pro development. All superstars do.
  24. You don’t get lucky. You create lucky.
  25. When you push through a difficult project, you don’t get to the other side. You reach The Next Level.
  26. Smile. And remember to inform your face.
  27. Spend time in solitude every day. Your best ideas live there.
  28. Debrief on how you lived out your day every night in a journal. This will not only record your personal history, it will make you uber-clear on what you’re doing right and what needs to be improved.
  29. If you're not being criticized a lot, you’re not doing very much. Ridicule is the price of ambition.
  30. Develop a monomaniacal focus on just a few things. The secret to productivity is simplicity.
  31. To get the results very few people have, be strong enough to do what very few people are willing to do.
  32. Rest. Recover. It’ll make you stronger.
  33. Buy a smaller TV and build a larger library.
  34. Remember that the bigger the goal, the stronger a person you must become to achieve that goal. So goal-achieving is a superb practice for character-building.
  35. Food fuels your body. Learning feeds your mind.
  36. Don’t ask for respect. Earn it.
  37. Finish what you start. And always end strong.
  38. Breathe.
  39. In business, don’t play to survive. Play to win.
  40. Protect your good name. It’s your best asset.
  41. Remember that words have power. Use the language of leadership versus the vocabulary of a victim.
  42. Give more than you take. The marketplace rewards generosity.
  43. Know that if it’s not messy, you’re not making progress.
  44. Be a hero to a kid.
  45. In business, aim for iconic. Go for legendary. Make history by how awesome you are at what you do.
  46. Please don’t confuse activity with productivity. Many many people are simply busy being busy.
  47. Your doubts are liars. Your fears are traitors. Stop buying the goods they are attempting to sell you.
  48. The best anti-aging remedy in the world is working really hard.
  49. World-Class performers have no plan B. Failure just isn’t an option.
  50. You have the power to change the world—one brave act and one person at a time. Please use it.

I am a Professional Failure

I am a walking failure, and it's an honor! Someone who fails a lot is someone who is trying. And statistically that person will be increasingly closer to success after each and every failure. We always talk about super succsesful and rich people... We're already bored of those damned, let's talk about failures, misery, poornes problems, desperation, hard times and feeling like shit.

Here are only a couple of my failures that no longer embarrass me ... That's what I call P O W E R!

I no longer give power to failure, but I see them as different ways of finding success :)

How everything changed?

Everything changed when one day I found myself lost and partying in the streets of a crazy italian city (Nápoli) and all of the sudden I was surrounded of hot chicks laughing with me (Im never such a player) but then IT HIT ME!  The amazing tattoo of Nika Angelino... IT WAS LIKE BOOM!

 "Never a failure, always a lesson "

Boom! This simple but powerful message was enough to kill that damn goblin that had stayed in my head for so long, that shit pixie repeating constantly, "Hey Oscar, you're doing it all wrong, you're not sexy neither smart, you're a loser... a failure!".

In short, I wanted to summarize my position naturally assumed as the face of failure (which also makes me feel good about myself. That's the idea no?)

The line between success and failure is far too small and thin as we lay down to die. Someone who is failing is someone who is trying, and the more the failure, each attempt bringing us closer to success. Never again will I take my failures to heart.

I try everything to be understood as a role, one is not a failure as a person , but a person can make many mistakes. The important thing is not to find the culprit , what matters is who learned from all this.

This post is just in case anyone serve my personal failures, and to remember how badly we've been through, for things that simply did not matter. To exemplify the worst fears can create my mind can affect me health , happiness , traumas, trancas ... And to look back and just laugh at how stupid I was. Not to afferarse anything , I prefer to walk free, looking to the side and being transparent.

Failure 1: College Entrance

In my case , Commercial Engineering  was a waste of time . I meant to study disburse approximately $ 50,000 if that same silver had invested in an apartment at that time, I could have been living from those rents!

The first fee I had to pay, or will not let me get my degree Lesson :

To learn a college degree is not required, in Chile traditional races are too long and unimaginative .

Failure 2: Get into many things

Whenever my life stayed in plenty of time , filled him with a project ... Most failed , I lost time . How to try to create an online business selling trees , another juice in the streets with bike - machines, among others. I always got in some extra problem to fill time and feel an interesting and busy character ... To get to madness and despair and helplessness to do too much , squeeze anything and die trying . After that mourn with lagrimitas really suffer the unfairness that is life , fall into depression and low self-esteem , eating pointless to fill that void and forget the monster that I created for myself ... After that I take a cup of tea , Turkish delight , I see that all is not sooo bad , I realize that we live only air , water and food, and Life goes on Nigga ! To keep pushing.

Lesson : Today I seek above all my free time to be doing anything . Understood "nothing " as: traveling, playing guitar, learn things that I like , be free. Live undertake; )

Failure 3: Make a page in Flash

In 2010 I had my first website. I made friend and so it was completely free! I hallucinated . But I could not edit . And it was also made n Flash . The problem was that Google does not recognize Flash so no one ever saw my page.

Lesson : If you want a website that appears on Google do not set up a site in Flash!

Failure 4: Paying a developer by Mala Page

One of the worst experiences, I spent $ 300 (which for me was at that time my monthly sales). I invested the effort of a whole month on something that I never used. I depended upon this person to change the page, it was made in Joomla, an antiquated system that sucks! It was a very frustrating, exhausting, horrible experience.

Lesson: If you make a website, or you have to have a permanent developer on the team (I have seen millions of startup to fail because $10,000 is spent on development, a promise of heaven, then their sites are thrown). Or on the other hand, you can use platforms like Squarespace ( or Shopify eCommerce ( ) to have an indepentant life that works with easy and super trendy templates!

Failure 5: Believing that one would pay me on delivery Retail

He quoted a retail order a juicy , but never got a confirmation. also he needed to get permission from other brands to make the request on. Some of these brands sue thought :) And that period of my life many things came together . This order , a fair in Germany, a trip to Europe for one month , my birthday and exam grade . To change had no niuno , I went to Europe for a month with 50 lucas in my wallet and my 5 bank accounts in negative ... The same day of the exam grade was my birthday and my flight to a trip out 1 month 1 hour before the end of the exam. Oh shit . One proposes ...

Lesson : For something the O.C ( Purchase Orders ) were invented. No OC nothing there ;) I spent 3/4 gradings were four tests ( I threw my last test I had to leave 1 hour before to get on the plane ) , sold merchandise that I took and I traveled to Turkey with that. One proposed; ) It's not so bad ... But ouch bitch I cried that month.

Failure 6: Accusing a corporate executive general manager, by email

I was just desperate to collaborate with this great company by just accessing their garbage (glass bottles of course). It did not cost anything for them to give me their garbage!

One day I made this stupid angry e-mail. I did'nt get an answer.

Then I met the executive in person which ended up being much cooler than I expected and we ended up collaborating on some great things!

Lesson: The purposes are always bigger than any personal quibble. It was something I regret and I will not do again.

Failure 7: Send to 3,000 boxes do wrong

I spent $6,000 on a production of bad boxes. Again investing sales month. And the producer gives me fucking cum boxes with bad board, and 2 months late, even though 50% had paid in advance. The worst part was I had to take such a hurry order I sent my client those boxes. Then when I received an email from across the world with these complaints ... I wanted to die. I almost lost him. But now that same customer placed the largest order so far :) and found boxes better provider.

Lesson: Always and in the first instance you have to be on top of every detail! We must be as Sauron on Frodo, as Cruella De Vil chasing the Dalmatian puppies. So you have to be with suppliers at first. Always ask for sample or ensure the conditions to reduce risks. The selection of good suppliers is an interesting process, is a pleasure to find people who do well Poser, you should always be looking with wide eyes and ask for references. There are many people out there chanta.

Failure 8: Do not back up my photos, delete them by mistake

Bitch! That super interesting trip I took with my new camera to Europe ... I think very sophisticated to have all backed Dropbox and not on my PC. The thing is that I deleted the folder Dropox and lost the photos ( Cof cof ... that moron ).

Lesson: For all that is photos. Flickr is a topísima option. Gives you 1 TB (1,000 GB) every year. And in essence was created to store photos, you have a cuáticas features.

Failure 9: Linger a pro bouquet 2nd time

I hated that teacher Econometrics I of the best in the class was, but I grabbed bad and I had to make the bouquet for the third time.

I almost kicked out of college for this alone. On the same day that made me send special cards to not throw me for being so lazy they say, me a letter came to my house the dean of the University congratulating me for the work I was doing, being part of their community and make it named after the U. #FuckThem

Lesson: Practicing patience and art of tolerance, rise to higher levels of consciousness and not fall short of teachers with their super-egos and speeches "I get paid to do classes, not teach." Once an idiot said that ...

Failure 10: yanking bad the teacher, rather, that you hold bad

Again, it is almost the same lesson as before.

Failure 11: Eating raw seafood and vodka

One of the post worst nights of my life . I had lunch raw seafood , afternoon sick ate bread with scrambled egg and milk. And finally tonight I Carretié with Green Glass larger capacity , the worst vodka in the world and an energy XXXtreme . I dishonorable things ( but I do not remember) , I turned off TV and the next day I had the worst poisoning and dehydration to the point that my whole body was calambrado .

Lesson : If you are intoxicated , apply serum. It does not wait until the body does not hold anymore. Do not mix seafood , scrambled eggs , milk , bad and energy vodka.

Failure 12: Bring my own accounting

The first time I did actiuvidades started as " small family microenterprise" , which amounted to the company I was with my Ruth ( I do not recommend to anyone) . The main reason was because I was not to pay an accountant and was told that this could welcome me to 14c and not declaring income ( a simple automatic calculation is made ), then only should carry VAT every month ... When had already been declared as eight months I realized I was doing it all wrong and backwards; )

Lesson : You have to understand accounting at all costs, but let an accountant do the paste.

Failure 13: Do everything

You just do it ... And it can be very cool at times, but there comes a point where you can not anymore. One can do it because you want to learn, because you have no budget to do it another, because you have not found someone else, because you do not trust someone else, etc.

Lesson: Delegating is an art learned with effort and perseverance. The process of teaching and let others take responsibilities can be very frustrating. But it is much more frustrating do EVERYTHING you and see that if you add up all your hours a day you will not reach to finish all the paste out there. It's just impossible! It is also more fun with more people.

Failure 14: Do not create processes

A process is an activity that gives certain given input results. It is characterized because it can be measured, and what can be measured can be optimized. In your life in practical terms and in a company. If you do not build process is like putting together a house starting with the roof, everything is not going fast becoming a process is potentially a waste of time

Lesson: The structure and processes help keep order. I spent years with Green Glass, doing things right and doing wrong things. Everything that is assimilated to a process gives me confidence. What does not cause chaos and despair ... and you have to turn it into a process

Failure 15: Do not measure things

When you do not measure, you talk ... and talk by Tinca by Tinca is penca. Serious people measure almost everything that can be measured. When you measure have information, you have information when making decisions becomes easier and sexy. When you're not ... potentially a storyteller or do not have a basis for making good decisions, which will likely lead to more chaos.

Lesson: Everything is measured can be controlled, and therefore optimize. I love using tools such as:

Google Spreadsheets: (Excel How Google): It bkn because it works in the cloud and several people can work simultaneously on the same document. This use it to keep track of the amount of processed bottles, working hours, etc.

Google Analytics: Everything related websites I manage, visits, time spent, bounce rates, traffic channels.

Shopify: Where I measure Efforts in ecommerce, sales per month, per customer, per channel

Mailchimp: To measure efforts in Mailing, here I see many of you open my mail :) A app, social network that allows me trackear habits like getting up super early or go to the gym.

Failure 16: Do not define a strategy or plan

When you're in command of a venture, however small, you have to have a plan, define actions, goals and processes. Every time I walk away from an action plan my life and business become chaos. The days are 0 productive, get up late and let everything go down the toilet.

Lesson: A bad plan is better than no plan. You have to have an idea of here we are and where we come in. Then you need to clearly define what things to do to reach the goal. But the most important and what makes the difference is actually doing those things to reach the goal.

Failure 17: Not having left the U.

Each passing year and as I looked left of the screen, saw branches with names and complex rimpompantes hoping to learn something about them ... Most was a paraphrase of the former and looked like the system of "universities" had become somewhat dated for these times in which we live. Cache since the first year I wanted to get out of the U. and social pressure and the sad reality that continue to weigh cartons fed in Chile, I decided to finish it. Now for the third year was very risky to dump it, was heavily indebted, and earned very little money with my venture, I was not sure myself.

Lesson: always had hypothesized to be negatively impacted in the U my venture, now that I left the newly confirmed and reconfirm ... And I realize I lost 5-6 years of my life in a well-draining activity and little enriching. But like I made good friends and it was an experience. While I understand 100% when people come out, I was almost one of those, but I was mammon. I feel very rockstar if he had.

Failure 18: Do not make me respect

I'm a shy person, a thousand times have taken advantage of me, they have passed me to go and have bothered me. I have not heard, have laughed at me, I have kicked on the ground.

Lesson: There I pure love each other, sometimes be a selfless soul who just wants to help is useless. We must put tiburonosidad to life! With purpose and desire. There is a phrase that I love:

"First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you, then they fight you. Then is when you win" Ghandi

Failure 19: Giving lot of my time

It is true that we know things and be people help. Not if it happens , but when you see someone who had that fucking problem that caused you so much suffering , the good Samaritan who bring inside goes crazy , you transform into super Sayayin and say :

Lesson : This fully well be a good Samaritan , but eventually when I passed my hand I let the shit dumped because I leave my life , to help others first we have to help ourselves , and be well .

Lesson : This fully well be a good Samaritan , but eventually when I passed my hand I let the shit dumped because I leave my life , to help others first we have to help ourselves , and be well .

Failure 20: Travelling without money

Ehhhhh . It happens often. Only limited possibilities but does grow creativity jajajaj

Failure 21: miss a flight to Easter Island, and was invited ...

I charge shame and awful feeling when the counter told me that I could not get on the flight because I was too late ... When I had to call the person who invited me to give a talk to say " Uko , I fell down airplane!" You feel like that person is disarmed across the phone but Super Sayayin anger became.

Such a moron

Peroooo .... I arrived a day after stipulated a fee of U $ 400 ( PLP !! ) Chat came out amazing . I asked to stay one more day on the island and the airline rewarded me with $ 500 . That extra day I took the opportunity to coordinate the recycling of glass on the island . I called a couple of empty ships leaving from the island to carry 50 tons of glass every month back to the mainland . I got on the continent to buy them all glass at a good price. Long live to the #GreenGlassLife

Failure 22 : Living the life of a potato

"I'm busy " , " I have no time " , "I am very tired," "I'm wabbit , in the B , nicagando the achievement." They are all excuses. And I understand that. When he was 19 weighed 76 Kilos . After going through 5 years of college and becoming a vegetarian ended up weighing 66 Kilos and with almost 100 % less force. For letting me be , for organizing bad time, and not make time for exercise.

How I feel sitting on a little bench

Lesson : You can always make one time if they really want, although I understand 100 % that do not, I went through it and could not, simply did not give me the leather work, study and be sexy at the same time . If it's any consolation. When Arnold Schwarzenegger asked how she manages to do so many things , the reponde , good day has 24 hours , I sleep only 6, the other 18 work. To which people respond to it ... Only six hours ?! I need to sleep about 8 minimum ! Then Arnold says:

TOP POWER WOULD LEARN FROM YOUR FAILURES , just below LEAVE HERE ... IF YOU ALSO FELT IDENTIFIED Comments :) Hey , do not you forget this; )
